Remove VMware Unnecessary Devices (BIOS Settings)

VMware's initial devices have legacy devices such as floppies and serial ports enabled. I will explain how to disable unnecessary devices.

Method

(1). Immediately after starting VMWare, left-click on the screen and press the "F2 key" repeatedly.

(2). When the BIOS screen opens, press the "right cursor key".

(3). The contents of the Advanced tab are displayed.

(4). Use the "Down cursor key" to move to the "I/O Device Configuration" and press the "Enter key".

(5). When the I / O Device Configuration screen opens, press the "Enter key".

(6). Select Disabled with the "Up cursor key" and press the "Enter key".

(7). Serial Port A has been disabled.

(8) In the same way, change Serial port B, Parallel port, Floppy disk controller to Disabled.

(9). Press ESC to return to the original hierarchy.

(9) Disable IDE BUS
For Windows 7 or later OS, IDE is not used and can be disabled.
Change the Local Bus IDE adapter to Disabled.

(10). Press F10 to display the save confirmation screen. Press the enter key to save.
